Sarah Gronquist is passionate about designing places where people live and thrive—from personalized residential gardens to vibrant community developments. A licensed landscape architect in California since 2001, she provides technical consulting and construction administration services to Bay Area design firms. Sarah is also the founder of SGLA Technical Training, a company dedicated to supporting licensure candidates through preparatory courses for the Landscape Architect Registration Examination (LARE). Through SGLA, she has helped hundreds of emerging professionals gain the technical skills and confidence to become licensed landscape architects. She joined the ReScape Board of Directors in 2018 as Secretary and now serves as President, advancing regenerative landscape practices statewide. Sarah is also a ReScape Rater and member of the Rater Council, conducting third-party reviews for projects pursuing ReScape certification. An educator at heart, Sarah has taught at UC Berkeley, Merritt College, and more. In her spare time, she enjoys playing swing guitar, accordion, and whatever instruments are nearby.
