David Settlemyer is the founder and principal designer of Under the Sun Concepts, an internationally recognized outdoor living design studio specializing in luxury decks, covered structures, and architecturally integrated outdoor environments. Drawing on decades of construction experience, he combines engineering expertise with advanced 3D visualization to create designs that are as buildable as they are visually compelling. 

His work has earned over 40 international awards, including 17 first place project awards, and has been featured in national publications, industry podcasts, and educational platforms. Recognized for blending innovative design with real-world construction knowledge, David partners with homeowners, contractors, manufacturers, and distributors across North America to transform ambitious ideas into award-winning outdoor living spaces.
