Product award winners revealed for FutureScape Global Awards

ArborStakes has won the Innovative Product of the Year at the inaugural FutureScape Global Awards for its below-ground tree anchoring system.

“The opportunity to present to a worldwide audience has been amazing, and from the heart of a designer to the heart of a manufacturer of a product, it’s been a journey; but it’s been very interesting to meet new people and new cultures and I love it. To win the award is outstanding, it’s the icing on the cake,” says Kris Brown, ArborStakes’ owner/inventor.

The Sustainable Product of the Year award went to Cape Reed, for its eco-friendly structures.

“Very proud and very honoured to be considered for and to have won this award – because sustainability is what we do, and that’s what we live and breathe,” says Andre van Heerden, Cape Reed’s managing director for Europe and the Middle East.

An international panel of judges chose the winners of these awards at the first ever FutureScape Global Awards, which took place at The Arena Riyadh in Saudi Arabia from 28-29 April.

The panel included World Urban Parks’ CEO Luis Romahn, the Japan Landscape Contractors Association’s chairman Takuhiro Yamada, Red Sea Global’s landscape architecture director Ayad Al-rawi, Chris Tidswell, president of the International Federation of Landscape Architects’ Asia Pacific Region, and RHS full garden judge Mark Gregory, who is also the managing director of multi-award-winning Landform Consultants.

The judges also decided the winners of the five category awards as well as the Vision 2030 Awards.
