FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Deck Builder Marketers Stand: 117
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
April Edwards | Founder and CEO, Deck Builder Marketers
Santa Monica, CA | Sept. 1-2, 2026 | Deck Builder Marketers will exhibit at FutureScape USA at Booth #117, where deck builders and outdoor living contractors can talk directly with a team that understands the business behind the marketing.
Most builders do not need more random leads. They want better projects, fewer poor fit inquiries, less dependence on referrals, and a clearer understanding of what is actually working.

Deck Builder Marketers helps contractors connect the pieces that influence whether the right homeowner finds them, trusts them, contacts them, and chooses them.  That includes positioning, project proof, website conversion, Google visibility, reviews, lead tracking, follow up, sales readiness, and premium client attraction.

“Builders are often told they need more leads, but that is not always the real problem,” said April Edwards, founder and CEO of Deck Builder Marketers. “Sometimes the right homeowners cannot find them. Sometimes the marketing is attracting the wrong projects. Sometimes good opportunities are being lost because nobody has time to follow up properly. We want to help builders identify the real constraint and figure out what to do next.”

Edwards brings a perspective built specifically around the deck and outdoor living industry. She hosts the We Love Deck Builders podcast, where she speaks with contractors and industry experts about marketing, sales, operations, technology, financing, business growth, and the future of outdoor living.

She also writes the Market Yourself column for Deck Specialist magazine and has presented industry education on marketing, branding, business growth, premium positioning, and winning better outdoor living projects.

“Great builders should not have to rely on luck, word of mouth, or being the cheapest option to keep good work coming in,” Edwards said. “When the right pieces are working together, homeowners can understand the quality of your work before the first conversation. That makes the sales process better for everyone.”

The importance of trust is also reflected in DBM’s work with contractors.

“I’m a super skeptical person. You have to prove you know what you’re doing. April did. I knew within minutes of our first call that she was the real deal.”

At Booth #117, attendees can bring the business challenge they are currently facing, including:

Leads slowing down
Too many low quality inquiries
Heavy dependence on referrals
A website that does not reflect the quality of the work
Difficulty attracting higher value projects
Marketing expenses that are difficult to track
Good leads slipping through the cracks
An owner who is still responsible for every part of the sales process

The DBM team will help attendees identify what may be holding their business back, reverse engineer the next practical move, and point them toward the right strategy or resource. If there is a strong fit, attendees can book a Strategy Session with April at the event and take a deeper look at their market, positioning, visibility, sales process, and growth opportunities.
